I mainly wanted to leave a review for who I believe is the owner I was in search of quenepas and he made sure to keep my updated whenever I'd call to let me know when they were arriving ultimately it depends on the vendors and when they are in route but he did his best However I went on a really rainy day and he personally walked me and a different customer to the our cars with his umbrella I thought that was such amazing service he walked me to and from my car and made sure to keep the umbrella over my car door to make sure I didn't get as wet and he then proceeded to do the same with the guy parked next to me thought that was amazing

I often visit Boricua Food Market when I need my fix of Puerto Rican cuisine. I can always find green bananas, plantains, and everything else I need to prepare my meals. They also have homemade ready-made meals, like empanadas, in their freezer section. While they specialize in Puerto Rican foods and gifts, they also offer products from other Caribbean countries. While on the pricey side, it's a great place to find hard-to-find foreign products!

Central and South American foods! This small Latin supermarket has a decent selection of Puerto Rican and other Latin foods around here. Their empanada dough selection was mostly Goya, with some Ecuadorian ones that I'd never seen before. The dough looks a bit freezer burned, but it ought to work still. They also offer lots of packaged and some fresh foods. Their sauce selection is pretty impressive- if you're looking for hot sauces, this is a good place to see some new stuff! A lot of the selection is Goya, with other foreign flavors. They have a pretty big frozen section. The owners were hanging in the back when I came in, but they came right out to check out my order. They don't seem to be from Puerto Rico. It's nice to have some foreign flavor- this side of town is like Little Puerto Rico- there's also a great Puerto Rican restaurant just down Harry Wurzbach if you wanna see how these flavors come together!

This place is a hidden gem that has been hiding itself so well that I have NEVER zseen it before although they have been in the area for over 25 years!! I was at the national cemetery down the street and I had noticed the Asian market as I was headed that way and I told everyone that when we got done I wanted to stop there, however as it was a holiday, they were closed. But oh how glad I am that they were as otherwise I would have probably overlooked this gem! The man who greeted us was extremely friendly and gave us some history about the store. We looked around, asked questions and he even made some suggestions. We weren't looking for anything in particular, but we still picked up some odds and ends (I like to challenge my little person to try things from other cultures). It's not a huge spot, but It's not just Puerto Rican items, they also carry Caribbean spices/drinks and meat patties. I would definitely recommend this place . . . And then stop by the Asian market and tell me all about it!!!
